We use Bancomer who works with Wells Fargo...both free, except to transfer funds from US...$4 USD to xfer up to 1500. USD...not bad, and it's instant xfer.

I just set up the same set up Bancomer and Wells Fargo. Same fees. My concern is that they are discounting the exchange rate and making an additional 20 - 30 dollars. on the $1500 exchange.

GW: where did you think banks made their money???
Visa and M/C do the same thing when you buy in a different country from where they are issued! :x
Right now the CDN dollar is worth more than the US dollar, but if I go across the border and buy something in Detroit on my Visa, it will cost me more!!! About 2.5% If I go to the bank before hand to change some money, it will cost me about 2.3% (my bank)!! You can't win!

When we take pesos out of Santander from our account at BOA, it is the bank to bank wholesale rate. No fees on either end and pretty close to the best rates posted anywhere.
