That is a very good observation on your part. Thanks for the heads up.

The design seems to separate routine traffic from boat goers. The wave action at the loading stage should be less than the old pier.

In the past 45 days, When at CyC I have observed three paniced swimmers on the north side of the pier, but were able to get out by going with the beach and the swimming out. One almost drowned, having to go in with the kayak and pulling him on board.
Then tried to revive and called the ambulance.
There seems to be a whirlpool effect or something of that nature in that area next to the new structure.

Thanks!

From the pictures, the new pier looks like it is going to be a lot more accessible than the old pier. The steps at the end are the wide, flat type which are easier for people in wheelchairs and people with balance problems to manage. I might even get into a panga again if it is as easy as it looks to be from the pictures. :)

Wow....Im very impressed.....its going to be beautiful when completed.......maybe its not "olde style" PV.....but its beautiful just the same.....even if its not completed by November, I dont think well be troubled by the noise(air compressors, jack hammers, and pile drivers) some tourists were complaining about on various sites.....thanx for posting the great vids!....Cant wait to get to PV again! :D
