I love both of those Chinese vegetables.

Once, I was going to buy a napa cabbage at Ley, and the checker weighed it and the price was 45 pesos. She looked at it, and then at me, and pointed to it and asked me, "Are you sure you want this? It is 45 pesos!" I was shocked, too, and told her to forget it. I went back and bought some acelga for 4.5 pesos instead.

I would love to have a small garden plot here. I would be planting those chinese vegies in winter time, as well as a bunch of other things that grow here but are ridiculously expensive.

I have water chestnuts growing in a bin on our roof. We will see how that works out. They seem very happy.

Kale is pretty good and has that slight cabbage taste and crunchy texture - is that available?

funny

i had kimchi at num num everyone thought 20pesos was expensive

i guess you know why now

nappa cabbage is very expensive and have of it goes to the bin

bok choi is available seasonally from fruit forest
on the way out to Bucerias,, your on your own getting there unless you want to hitchike , take a bus or otherwise

Ley had Bok choy on Saturday (and they still have Napa Cabbage)
