I don't really work well in partnerships, Brian. Take my 4 marriages as examples....

Well, you did finally find the right match. I don't think the community has a lot of say in how the packers are run. We have some cheeseheads here that would know.

That's what I was thinking, just because you happen to own some shares, doesn't mean you have some sort of say in operational matters. Hell the business may not even pay a dividend, the Pack doesn't.

We wanted a local brewery here. Some folks got together here, sold 100 shares @ $5,000 ea and started a brewery. The shareholders still don't have a say in ops 25 years later, but they get a lot of free beer now that the place is so successful.

It all depends on how things are structured.

OK. PM me if any of you are serious about buying shares. I need about $10k US to get this off the ground. We have some savings we are using to set things up and a substantial inheritance coming sometime next year (depending on the speed of the estate lawyer), so getting functionally into high season is our only concern at this time.

My master plan is to open Mordidas at mi casa and then move it to a primo location when it gets on its feet. At mi casa, overhead is very low and I can experiment. I love cheap, good booze and food and a friendly atmosphere. I'm tired of high prices for a reality of salty food and watered down drinks or cheap prices for basura. I love experimenting with new food and I also love comfort food (in spite of the disclaimer I made somewhere about the only comfort food I like is breast milk).

The casa is being turned into a 7 table bar/restaurant as we speak. Sort of. The construction guys are probably either drunk or asleep at this hour since they have to be here early in the morning. The liquor license is in process.

That's about it.

You need 10k. How many shareholders do you want to deal with.

10 investors = $1,000.00 a share

20 = $500.00 a share

25 = $400.00 a share

Etc..

So, do you have 10 friends with one large to put down on a speculative bet? Food business is brutal there.

Hmmm...do you have any friends with any money? Family or any ex wives?

Should have a business plan, no doubt in your head right now, but pencil it out.

Got working capital? Won't get rich the first week. You need supplies and labor.

This is to start.
