With high season coming, I was wondering on input about getting together and start a small investment group to assist Freeeye with some working capital. It doesn't have to be that much each, and wouldn't be that much to loose if things didn"t work out. I could get an attorney from a pick of five to throw together a small contract,
It would only cost you about a drink a day, and who knows you may make some money. :P
Thanks!

Sorry GeckoS, I feel $1,000.00 is a bit more than some would like to start with.
Probably start with 30 investors a $350.00 each, before we get the real Ponzi started.
How many times have you donated to Freeeye for the board? :?:
I will start. Where is your $350.00?
Sorry, I have to get back to worry about how Mr. businessman OBAMA is going to get us out of debt, or find a way to get in on the gravy train if he wins, because life could be a lot easier that way.

Thanks!

Sorry, Bernie, I don't want your money. My whole philosophy of business is not to borrow money to gamble if the odds are high. I will borrow money on sure things but this effort is a little farther out in the odds than I would place any money on that wasn't mine to lose.

Plus, probably more importantly, I'm a control freak. If I took investors I'd have to give up some control. I love running a business where the restraints are minimal and I am free to run on my own style and time table. I don't like hobbles, no matter how loose.

Plus money isn't a problem right now. It hurts to bring this up but somewhere previously in this thread I mentioned that in October an inheritance was coming from, as one of Fox's Cafe Roma Kids crew likes to call her, my "dead trailer trash granny." That old asshole still sickens me when I think of him calling her that but ol' trailer trash momma has come through as she had planned.

UPDATE:

This week, when Sarah comes back from California, we enter the final stages of the permit process. The colonia president has offered to go with us for these next official steps, to help expedite things, and we are ready to head out to UMA, the new government office building.

I am still messing around with the "furniture" and the metal worker is coming in again today or Monday with a bunch of new stuff to install (shelves, cabinets, etc). The cement worker is coming back in today to begin construction on a new wall for the bar area, a new bano and a new bar seating area. This construction will probably take 4-5 days. I figure I might as well keep busy while the permits are getting in order.  I get anxious if I have to just sit around and wait.

The actual work will be finished by my projected opening date of November 3. Not sure if all of the permit stuff will be finished by then... but, like I've said, we will have a party then, no matter what. Mark your calendars.
