As failing to give an employee a raise is not the same as cutting his pay, foregoing an increase in taxes is not the same as a tax cut. :roll:

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, it actually is, kinda, if you factor in inflation/cost of living.

Anyway, which point in the article are you referring to?

Were the Bush tax cuts, really a tax cut, or a tax holiday, since they had a termination date?

So, if the cuts for the very wealthy were allowed to expire, would that really be a tax increase, or just the end of the holiday?

That is a good point. However, the termination date was political posturing anyway and the tax increase under question is more of the same.
