Sorry, you still lose. She did not represent herself as another person. Voter ID was not involved.

An accurate ID would have shown that she lived in Texas, not NM.

The efforts of the conservatives on this fake problem, this election, is freighting!

Voting is one of the few civil liberties we have left...and with these attempts in some 28 states to make it more difficult, even that is changing.

I apologize if this has been discussed or already brought up. I have not been able to keep up on much lately.
If you want to know about voter fraud….real voter fraud….check with the nursing homes and home health care providers that get their own ballot and then request ballots for their patients that don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground.
Guess who is voting two, three, four, ten times? The caregiver!

See this I.D. thing is such a sham…..I get so sick of hearing people say….so what’s the big deal. Just show your I.D.
POOR people – Old poor people DO NOT have VALID I.D. – I know – I know it is hard for some to believe but when a person has to come up with $25 dollars to renew their license, it is difficult.

When an old person that does not drive anymore has to renew their I.D., they don’t do it. They just hold on to their old one.
My daughter works for the Secretary of State and she tells me all the time about how bad she feels for the people that come in to get a Driver’s License and can’t afford it. She said they need a payment plan. Yes, there are people that can’t afford $25.00+ all at once.

Why do party stores provide Check Cashing??? Because they know the regular customers and they may have some Non-valid form of I.D. – so they cash their checks for a fee. People don’t qualify for bank accounts or the means to get to their bank…..so a party store it is.

Anyways, it really ticks me off when people act like it is NO big deal to show Valid I.D. – It is and THEY know it.
How can they say my life is not a success? Have I not for more than sixty years got enough to eat and escaped being eaten?

Ella, I agree with everything else you said, but I don't understand this one. One can't simply go in and ask for a dozen or so ballots to take back to their friends or patients, and use them to vote the way they want. Absentee ballots must be requested by the registered voter, do they not?

Why don't states simply end it all by providing voter registration cards with photo? At no charge to the registering person. Do it at time of drivers license for most, with a separate VR card. The technology is so simple now.

I don't, and never have objected to identification, just to the phoney application of it to suppress poor and elderly voters.

Caregivers print the absentee request out
complete the form
have the ballot sent to the home of the patient
or sent to the nursing home
and who do you think really fills it out and sends it back?
The caregiver.

Sometimes caregivers will walk their patient right in to the polls show their I.D. - get a ballot, walk over to the booth, put the pen in their hand and "let them vote". Yea right!! They are looking at everything BUT that ballot and they(the caregiver) is filling in the oval of THEIR choice.
How many times a day do they do that??? who knows. For as many patients as they have.

I believe everyone has the right to vote, but these people aren't casting THEIR vote. It is being cast for them. Over and over again.
