Maybe if you smoked a little weed, skyscraper, you wouldn't keep going around in circles, hitting that wall all the time.

Sassy you said it!!!! I dont smoke and that is only because I dont enjoy life as much, if im stoned.
Im a zombie.
But i sure aint gonna judge others that do. Plenty of people have their ways of getting through the day...nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, zanax......whatever... Do your own thing.
How can they say my life is not a success? Have I not for more than sixty years got enough to eat and escaped being eaten?

I'm like you, Ellie, I am an anti-social zombie whenever I smoke weed. It runs that way in my family. We are more into alcohol as a general rule. But I think it is crazy to decide for others what the best way to party is.

I don't like pot, either, and I've smoked it enough to know why. But I would never tell anyone not to smoke it if they liked it. Criminalizing it just makes it expensive for users and (coincidentally - jaja) profitable for politicians, cops and dealers. If it were legal, so many social problems would disappear that maybe society could start working on real problems (if that was ever its intention).

The people who keep this plant illegal are the ones who should be in jail. They are greedy bastards, nothing else. They cause much, much more personal, economic and social damage and injury than any possible number of pot smokers ever could, even if they could be motivated... Pot prohibition is criminal.

I haven't smoked a joint in 30 years, but I did like it, I just giggled endlessly.

I am for the legalization because of what freeeye wrote and also because of the facts about Portugal: It's been 10 years since Portugal made ALL drugs legal....and following decriminalization, Portugal eventually found itself with the lowest rates of marijuana usage in people over 15 in the EU: about 10%. Compare this to the 40% of people over 12 who regularly smoke pot in the U.S., a country with some of the most punitive drugs laws in the developed world. Drug use of all kinds has declined in Portugal: Lifetime use among seventh to ninth graders fell from 14.01% to 10.6%. Lifetime heroin use among 16-18 year olds fell from 2.5% to 1.8%. HIV infection rates among drug users fell by an incredible 17%, while drug related deaths were reduced by more than half.

The USA spends trillions every year on the war on drugs. Trillions.

That statistic means that some people are making trillions of dollars a year on the war on drugs. Reason enough to continue it....
