Was away for a bit...took my 2 weeks holidays to go up north and work a refinery shutdown ! Was talked into it by the plant supervisors who really really wanted me,and was paid well for my services,,gotta say I miss fitting...yes gecko I was a fitter...used to build refineries and do shutdowns on em for almost 15 years... :o
Put on almost 4,000 kms...even made a pit stop in Crazi country, gave her a call but she was busy with her boyfriend so we partied without her  .....p.s. carol you missed a great time at Filthy MaNasty' s...$2.75 pints wow..Great time at the fringe festival also!
Found a new place in Edmonton called Tres Carnales Taqueria...authentic Mexican food...they even had pastor and horchata !!!!!!
I was checking in here and there but was working pretty long days so didn't have a lot of time to write...
Congrats on your new venture Rick...hope it works out for ya.
Anyways hope you all didn't miss me too badly.

Your right Keith....but it was an easy sacrifice for me to make some extra money for when I go to trade school and for a nice trip back to PV

In all truthfulness ....that should read "crazi was scrapping with her boyfriend" but "busy" is a nice euphemism :)
Sorry I missed seeing you Sharky....we'll have to try for PV .
As for this being "crazi-land' .... no way! Every day I'm here just proves I don't belong.

authentic mexican food

Postby Ann » Sat Sep 01, 2012 2:53 am

I came across a little pizza place close to where I live, which as a side menu, has mexican food. Sopas (I think that is the right word), and soups seem to be the standard fare and a lot of young mexican men working in construction stop by there after work. The owners of the little restaurant are young mexican men who purchased the pizza place, and added the additional menu items. Just a tiny little place with about 6 -7 tables. A little jewel in the neighbourhood.

Now, I'm craving their food. A visit tomorrow might be in order.

Any one up for a lime margarita?
