The Adriatic Sea

We are on the island of Krk in the town of Punat overlooking the marina that the villa owner also owns. Pretty cheap for Europe! Reminds me of PV prices or better. Mostly Germans but a few Italian, Serbs and Aussies/Kiwis. Croation is about as familiar as Greek or Chinese. Fortunately most have passable English, and, if not, a bit a French or German suffices.

More later with pictures...Keith

(We are taking a ferry to Rab for the day later this week.)

Edit - so the trip to Rab got washed out due to stormy seas. It seems to rain and blow every Wedensday or Thursday.)

We are now in Pula on the Istar Peninsula. Very popular destination. We have seen the nude beaches in Punat and Baska but the beaches here are more reserved.

The ladies from Split are the prettiest so far (but there are no nude beaches there).

Split is beautiful and remember it 20 years ago when it was the old Yuogoslavia. Great small cafes and quiet. There was something I enjoyed about the old socialist government.
Since then tourists have made it a little overrun. Closing the ocean drive is like PV closing the malecon road.
Dubrovnick is even more beautiful , with the architecture and feeling.
More reasonable in price, and go before the crowds, or in November or April.

Thanks!

We are now in Zagreb. Great weather and very friendly city. Lots of entertainment. Good food. Reasonable prices.
