Chico, all ours left over a month ago so they should all be arriving darn soon. Say hola for me, I really miss watching them....

BIG BIRD will be back. He is under doctors care Ronald. Is respomding to medical bird PROZAC. and is doing well dealing with depression.

What hummingbirds are you referring to, Chico?
I have a hummingbird feeder on my porch, and all summer long we have been feeding the cinnamons, the long-tailed hermits, and a really pretty little blue species.
These are all local birds and they do not leave.

They are year-round pests, actually, Michael. You need to get out more... Some come into the house and get "trapped." Some come into the house and just say "hello." The hermit says "hello." Nice guy with a long, long tail for a hummer. The cinnamon do not venture in after him as they chase him away from the feeder. He has the brains. They have the bravado.

Well, thanks for clearing that up for me, I wondered about it but didnt research it because I know that the ruby throated hummers leave here in Northern Ontario in Sept. to head south, ours were late leaving this year by about a week. I thought they went to Mexico via the Gulf of Mexico but maybe its just the Loons. I know that the hummers are solo travellers unlike those noisy monogomous Canada Geese!! I dont know why the hummingbirds would choose to leave Mexico when they dont have to worry about health care coverage!!
