Freeeye, Zumba just looks like that. It´s not my thing either but Zumba classes are held all over, including in church basements and as part of community recreation centre activities in Canada, even senior citizens´ centres.

The reason I think it was a good idea for someone to post that video is because the class was jam-packed with people and if even some of those people (and her other students) see it was their teacher who was injured, they may want to help her and her family because of the personal connection. I know I would.

Tongue in Cheek. Probably safer to stay at home if you're American....

So this woman and her family have been injured by a criminal attack, with the kids seriously injured and in the hospital. And the best response is to call her a porn star and say she is asking for help in the wrong way? You are a real piece of work Rick.

So few of the "good hearted" people here, especially the ones who think that they have a god on their side in all of their opinions and acts, have a sense of humor. It's sad.

If it is true that she is asking only for 600 pesos a week to cover her work losses, then she may well be a porn star saint. The rest of you are despicable in your holier than thou patronage with bragging rights.

At last count there are at least 6 people vying for saviour of the month in this situation.

Why is there no call to help out the innocent victims of the dozens of other crimes each week here? What makes this person/incident so special?

I'm going to go out on a limb here ........................ it might have been the AK 47's and the hand grenades ...............or that several kids caught shrapnel .................

The weapon of choice is the reason only this innocent victim is being helped?

There are plenty of inured kids here among the dozens of innocent victims that I mentioned.
These injuries were unintentional. There are plenty of kids here who are run over, beaten and raped. The being run over is probably unintentional but the beating and raping are.
I'm missing your logic.

Following this post...everyone has a right to support what ever they want, but I have to agree with Freeye's last post. There are many others with hardships, that are not getting support. If this person was a friend, how wonderful to help them at a time of need, but I really don't think one has to post their support or solicit for others to send money. I know of many cases where a wonderful expat helped with medical bills of locals, but did not advertise the fact that they had. I think it is better done in private, if anything, for the pride of the person being helped. People that know this person would know the circumstances, others are just strangers being solicited like a charity. imho.
