It's funny but it's also true, if you believe the rumors that the big clubs on the Malecon are cartel laundries. I'm not saying one way or the other... of course.

I should put in a disclaimer here that I have nothing against cartel-type businesses, just as I have nothing against corrupt political operatives. Or corrupt religious systems. Or corrupt "charity" systems.

AS LONG AS THE PEOPLE THEY ARE WORKING KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH.

No corrupt system exists without doing some good. And that is how they are able to thrive.

one of the things that i like the most about you Rick is that you have a eyes wide open view of the world, I know far too much about the drug world for various reasons but the reality is that most often there is a very thin if existent line at all between many of us and some level of illegal behaviour and people who think that they are above the law may have forgotten that time they did......

anyways you did make me laugh and we did appreciate all the work you guys did to help orgnaize and run the carnival parade

I liked the old parade........correction...I loved the old parade! It was so much fun. We were excited for it for months ahead of time! We ran from one location to the next during the parade so we could see the whole thing at least 3 times before settling in somewhere near the end like Nacho Daddy's to rehash it and always meeting up with like minded friends.
Everyone we knew was on the streets cracking their faces with smiles and getting their exercise for the year waving and jumping and yelling! There is no way in hell this new parade will compare. I am getting the impression that the steel rod up the new gov.'s asses will not provide us degenerates with what we are looking for! Damn.

Agree with everything oshoes said...but since I was IN the parade I didn't get to see too much of IT, but did see all the happy faces and big smiles, smiles that melted my heart.

I'm sad.

Thanks Rick for all the work you did organizing the last parade....Thanks to all the other volunteers too. It won't be the same without you!

Are the other rumors true that the parade route will be on 200 from the airport into town????? UGH!

I had planned my first solo trip to PV in 30 or so years to make it for the mardi gras (missed it 2 years ago) and now this. drove a spike into that idea

Forget spikes in dreams.

There are other dreams.
