Spanish Class just started

Postby rabihorcada » Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:00 pm

I went to a spanish class yesterday, the first lesson. It is at the Paradise Community Center. The teacher is Maria Garibay. The class is held on Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 2:30- 3:45, and costs 65 pesos a lesson, as long as we keep the enrollment up to 7 students. Yesterday, we had 10.

This is a beginner class, and even though I am not a beginner, I am learning a lot about things like pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary and culture and other things. I like this teacher. The fact that she is mexican is great.

I believe there is still plenty of room for more students, but if you are interested and want to call or come down tomorrow to see, that would be great. Maria's number is 322-134-6874.

This is great, Sarah. I have been lazy on using my Spanish. Maureen says so many experiences open up once you speak Spanish. I wish that I could join you.

She may do another class when the tourists come back, I don't know.

She said that she will continue this class as long as there are enough interested students. She has to leave for a bit in October, but will do whatever. I imagine if there are enough people, she will teach another one. She is pretty open.

I've been curious about these classes as well so thank you for the review. SETAC has beginner Spanish classes for 30p three times a week too. I'll be all over this when I come back in a few weeks. muchas gracias Mamacita

Many people here want you to learn Spanish. Without this skill you are and always will be a stranger.
