Are you talking about if you are a Mexican citizen?

As a US citizen, I've never in Mexico needed a birth certificate for anything. My passport is all they ask for to establish citizenship, identity, and birth records.

I don't know about the 20yrs. younger either, perhaps it's the good life, eh? I'm happy for you. I may need this plan some day, so I'd hate to see it go away for gringos. Right now, as a part year PV'er I can get reimbursed thru home. So the plan must be good if you look that young. What are they prescribing to you Rick?

Well, I think that she was blind.

For gringos I think you have to be on a "retired" visa here to get on IMSS. An FM3 rentista...

We went again to our doctora today and she was apologetic for me not qualifying for the special treatment that she had recommended me for. She's so pretty that it did not really matter what she said, but she said that that I seem to have a pre-existing condition from when I was a steel worker that affected my lungs. I hated that job.

My solution is to go to a cardiologist outside of IMSS and pay the horrendous price of 500 pesos(!?).

My detractors will be happy to learn that I have an enlarged heart and fucked up lungs. Apparently the fucked up lungs look like those of a life long smoker (I have never smoked) and they came from working in a pre-OSHA regulatory steel factory. I do so love the right wing nuts who hated OSHA and its efforts to protect workers. If any of you wonder why I hate these right wing nuts so much, I'll show you my lung xrays. Free market = slavery.

You're in better fucking shape than I am, so quit your bitching. As we get older we come to terms with our own mortality and NEED someone or thing to blame. Whe I had my bypass the Doc said it was hereditary, as I had no cholesterol problem. We both should have smoked... We'd be no better off .... And would have something non personal to blame.

Signed: this right wing nut.

My brother died of COPD in 2009. My cousin has it and she has supplemental oxygen to assist her.

The main thing is to avoid aggravating factors like mold and high humidity.
