I would be very careful buying generic drugs in Mexico.
Lipitor is coming down in price as patents mentioned. And according to Kmowlegeable doctors, will have fewer side problems, and less hostile to the body. :(
Costco has been the lowest price for me, as I use a prescription discount card, at prescription counter in the states.
ASK FOR THE PRESC. MANAGER , as some won't bother searching it out. Makes 15% difference.
Also try Sam's club.

Thanks!

And what information or sources do you have to back up this warning?

Through a few Doctors at Amerimed, who go back and forth to Scottsdale, their original home base, and my Arizona home.
If you really want the good stuff, let me know and I will ask them.
One has found fake medications from India and China. Especially Viagra. For sure ask a trusted Doctor and give them the brand mfg.

Thanks!

   Doctors are not trained in the "manufacturing" of medications, nor would they have time to keep up on all new or generic medications!!! If you want to know what generic drugs cross over from brand name drugs, ask a pharmacist (it's their job!!!) not a doctor!! So you would not have a doctor prescribe a generic brand of drug for you, they only know the brand name!! Talk to a pharmacist! :o

Detail marketing people, mailings and updated training keeps the doctors up to date on medications, their side effects,
and interactions.
The pharmacy has very few trained specialists who really know their stuff. I bought some antibiotics in PV, with poor results. The Medical doctor did a biopsy that he sends out. Found I was given completly the wrong composition, and would never have soved my problem, which was resolved in five days.
Thanks!

The medical industry is no different from any other industry around the world., When doctors attend seminars and lectures having to do with drugs, they are being lectured to by pharmaceutical salespeople not manufacturers!! It matters not to them what they sell you, they're just there for the sale, normally on a profit sharing situation on the products a doctor prescribes!!! As all sales work!
btw, my wife bought some antibiotics as well last winter in PV, with very favourable results!!! Guess that makes us even!!
