Is life any better or worse there, now that she is in jail?

This begs the question.......Is your condo not an AC which has an accountant who gives you quarterly reports? Do you not have annual meetings that give a full accounting of everything that is happening in your building?

Yeah, we had a registered CPA....he was corrupt too.

Do you not have annual meetings that give a full accounting of everything that is happening in your building?

yearly meetings? yes, that's all.
Full accounting? a lawyer (sometimes two) was there (at the meeting)who lied to us and intimidated everyone. We had a AC, so legally we cannot see their books, and no we were not allowed to join it. Sometimes we were given papers from the accountant, all his imagination. Then we'd get the minutes and that's not what actually happened.

The building is great as we have the best employees, they must really like working here, they make it home.

freeeye...yes, everyone is happy, but it ain't over yet.

The dues and the individual owners had nothing to do with the court case.

We can only go up from here.......I hope.

Donna, what you are saying sounds wacky beyond belief. You are an AC but can't see your books? What a crock. Everyone you are dealing with is crooked and stealing your money? Why haven't you taken action? What is the name of your condo?
If everything you are saying is true then PM me.

It's a condo, no one lives there full time, no one wanted to "take action" as that costs money and time. And we knew who her lawyers were, they are some of Vallarta's finest. A couple of us refused to pay the dues for a year or two, that's it.

We hired an AC, but we were not in it, so we couldn't see the books, she had lawyers there. We would ask to see bills, anything, she would say "the accountant has it all and when he is ready he'll bring it". For two years...it's insane, but everyone just wants to be happy when they are in PV, so they paid up...and shut up.

No matter how you word it the whole thing still sounds wacky and convoluted. BTW, an AC is a civil association. You don't hire one, condo owners become one.
Whatever.........you get what you accept.
