Where to golf

Postby rkconnor » Tue Sep 18, 2012 12:02 pm

My wife and I in early 70,s and shoot high handicap would like to play a forgiving course, possibly par 3, for a couple of days in October while in PV. Course condition not an issue but would like carts. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you, Ron

We spend 6 months in P V ,I love golfing ,but looking into the 8 or 9 courses there, the least expensive is the flamingos, apparently an easy course to play on, 85.00 us,add a cart ,45.00 aprox. the other courses are more elegant and more expensive,,195.00 includes cart . they can range up to 300.00 us ,,also depends on the time of yr ,most expensive mos,,Oct to June . Personally I cant justify paying those prices for 18 holes of golf.I went to see some courses, beautiful lay outs, but very few playing the course,Its a real shame, not sure the reason why the high prices,,considering you can play 18 holes on a good course in Florida, for 25.00 with a cart.Hope this helps,Good luck and have fun .

There is a 9 hole, grass greens course in San Fransico ( San Pancho) about 25 km north of Bucerias. Last year it was $40 USD to golf all day + cart. I was invited by friends from Los Arboles in Bucerias, they go a couple of times a week but I didn't have any clubs.

Thanks for those suggestions. I would rather play near town so Flamingos sounds good. Does anyone know if they rent clubs? Thankyou Ron

Yes, the last time that I was there, they did !Oh, if you see any of the staff carrying shot guns, it's to protect the players from the crocks. So my advice to you is if you hit your ball anywhere near the water, do not go looking for it
