We are heading up in a couple of weeks for a few days.

Any first hand suggestions of places not to miss, or dining suggestions?
Jim

Be sure to go to Montebello restaurant in San Sebastian. It has GREAT pizza, and the pastas are very well recommended on Trip advisor. Italian Walter, and Mexican wife Coco are the owners. If you're planning on lunch, make it a late lunch...I don't think they opened until at least 1 pm because we had to wait. The setting is in the beautiful garden and patio of their house.

Thanks Sue. I think I had heard of that one before as being a really good spot. Timing might be just right.

montebello is great but it is closed on wednesdays and thursdays, i believe. in mascota there is a sweet little italian type place called cafe napoli (or close to that). not much in mascota to do. i much prefer talpa. way more interesting and the ride in is neat. maybe you'll luck into some pilgrim activities.

There is lots to see and do in Mascota. Start with the 18th century church ruins and the three mesions.

Thanks Dean. We will be staying at Rancho la Esmeralda. Going up on the 12th. We can chat on Thursday night if you are going to be at the meeting. Would love your input.
