Meetup Changing to Thursdays on August 23

All meetups are now Thursday. This is a permanent change, and will be so every week this season, as far as we know.

The meeting this week will be held on Thursday, August 30 at Langostino's.

After that, for 2 weeks, on Sept 6 and 13, the meeting will still be held on Thursday, but Langostino's will be closed for renovations, so we will move the location, but not the day. We will let you know as soon as we get the place figured out.

Love Moro, but a late afternoon meeting during storm season doesn't seem like a really good idea.

It's actually a great choice, Jim. We've done it many times. You would be amazed watching the river rise a meter or two in minutes. Quite a show.

I am sure it is quite a show Rick. I was thinking more about the people who don't live here and face the prospect of getting up there and back. The walk back to the nearest bus in the rain or thunder storm would be a bit daunting for some I suspect.

How far does the new paving go?

This was a suggestion for only 2 of the meetups, Sept 6 and 13. Not many new people in town in September....

The paving, as of last Sunday, was down to those large arches over the road that mark the separation of the two ejidos out there.
