Hotel Amaca

Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Did it close?

Everyone,
I stupidly listened to the 'owner' or whoever is answering emails for the Amaca. I transferred $500.00 for a stay with them IN FULL and they promise to refund my money every week and will not send me the refund.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!!! They are dishonest, they will tell you the property IS OPEN and they will not give you your money back.
There is also a HUGE condo tower that has gone up next to the hotel destroying all of their views and I heard there is STILL construction noise.
In any event, please stay away from this place!!! There are MANY amazing independent hotels in the area. Don't risk staying here!

On their mainpage they are saying they are open and "don't believe the rumors": http://hotelamaca.com/index.html

It depends on when you sent them your money. If it was after Sept 7 then we have no sympathy. If it was before then that is just too bad and you were ripped off.

The money was sent before 9.7 via paypal and I digress, posting here is to alert ANYONE to NOT believe their website, they are indeed closed and you'll never see your money and pass on this property.
